Built in 1142 by Marchese Del Carretto, Castello di Sinio is one of the oldest castles in Le Langhe--a district in Piedmont, Italy, that is full of historical residences, fortresses and castles. Ours is distinguished by being built completely from stone and massive chestnut timbers. You will feel the spirit of the early medieval period in every bedroom, salon and sitting area-- as we have preserved and reused all the original materials from walls to floors to ceiling. We have lovingly and tastefully decorated all the bedrooms and public areas using antique furniture, doors and pictures, many as old as 600 years!
Your comfort, as well as creating an elegant and warm atmoshere, were kept in mind for each bedroom and bathroom; the finest damask has been used for curtains and bedspreads, all linens and towels are exclusively Frette, and personal amenities were designed by Laura Tonnato.
Beds are all extra large with double mattresses and are fitted with down comforters, one for spring and one for winter. All rooms have large private bathrooms with spacious glass shower stalls, beautiful stone tiles and completely modern fixtures and electricity. You will find we have the most up to date conveniences such as individual room heating and air-conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial telephones, Internet & fax to make your stay ultra comfortable and hassle free.
At the same time you enjoy all the comforts and conveniences you hope for, you will be immersed in the beauty of Italy and a time gone by.
